Jennifer

Based in Kent, England, Jennifer approaches teaching of Jazz Vocals using classical and Estill methods. Classically trained singer (DipABRSM) with a PGCE and Estill EFP certificate, Jennifer teaches from her studio and online in English and in German. Specialising in healthy vocal technique, improvement of jazz tone and stylistics, Jennifer has extensive jazz repertoire to share with her students. 

Jenny is a highly skilled and talented teacher. She challenges and knows how to get the best out of you in a fun engaging way. As an adult learner she is very empathetic, encouraging and gives me so much confidence to achieve. Jenny's lessons are the highlight of my week. - Debbie King

Having trained classically and achieved a First from the University of Southampton (with an Erasmus year spent in Hamburg, Germany), Jennifer took a Postgraduate Certificate in Education and has since continued her voice teacher training in Estill (EFP) and through regular courses with the UK Association of Teachers of Singing. Jennifer believes that singing well and freely is only achieved in an encouraging and nurturing environment. As a soprano in a soundworld which usually welcomes the lower female voice, her journey in jazz has been a different one: singing jazz can be as inclusive and individual as you want! In vocal lessons, Jennifer focuses on preparing and aligning the body, engaging the breath and improving healthy vocal technique. Jenny focuses on jazz stylistics, tone, phrasing and helps you to make a jazz standard your own, building and developing your own signature style.
