Joran is a Jazz Voice Coach, based in The Hague, the Netherlands. Joran is teaching all levels and ages, in English and in Dutch.
Joran skilfully teaches Jazz Voice with a focus on interpreting melody through various musical styles within the world of jazz.
Using a student-centred approach, and his virtuoso jazz piano, Joran has been teaching Vocal Technique based on EVTS and CVT methods, for the last seven years, privately, one-to-one and in the groups, sharing his skills with students of all levels and ages.
He studied at the Academy of Vocal Arts, Silvère van Lieshout and Caro Kindt (2000 - 2008) CKC, Musical Vocals, Ella Dijkhuizen (2010 - 2012) Bachelor of Music Jazz Vocals, Conservatorium van Amsterdam, Gé Titulaer, Sylvi Lane, Wiebe-Pier Cnossen, Lieve Geuens, Sanna van Vliet, Lilian Vieira (2012 - 2016) Master of Music Jazz Vocals, Sylvi Lane, Lydia van Dam, Lieve Geuens (2018 - 2020)
Musical collaborations include Symphony of Unity Tomorrowland and Celebrating Quincy Jones (2015 - 2020) and with the Metropole Orchestra. For the last four years Joran is a conductor of Z!ng Choir and LUX Leiden University Choir.
